Virginia Water Conference 2005

March 13-15, 2005
Virginia Beach, Virginia

It’s once again time to prepare for the VLWA Conference.

The conference will again be held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Virginia Beach, Virginia which has re-extended last year’s tremendous room rate of $55/night (plus taxes) to attendees. If you were there last year, you know the facilities look great and put you very close to the beach and all the Virginia Beach amenities. We have hosted approximately 200 participants at each of the past few conferences and hope to continue with strong attendance from Federal, State, and local agency employees, lake owners/operators, consultants, product vendors, etc. We expect attendance to be very strong this year, and are hosting a golf outing on Sunday starting at about 12 Noon. The outing was great fun last year and we expect more of the same this year. Use the links on the right to get more information.

We encourage the submission of abstracts for consideration. Please review the attached materials for directions on conference registration procedures and submitting an abstract. Individuals are also encouraged to submit proposals for entire sessions. These should include three to five abstracts along with the contact information requested on the attached form for each presentation. Please contact me at sstein@gky.com if you have any questions. We look forward to building on our previous success and remaining the premier annual water conference in the mid-Atlantic. Once again, I’d like to express my gratitude to the Virginia Floodplain Management Association (VFMA) for their continued support of our conference. Come to the conference and learn more about our partners in VFMA.

Thank you,

Stuart Stein
