Virginia Water Conference 2006March 19-21, 2006 It’s once again time to prepare for the VLWA Conference. The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Select Koger Center in Richmond, Virginia. The hotel room rate is $82/night (plus 13% tax) for contractor/corporate/private attendees and $74/night (plus 13% tax) for State of Virginia employees (State ID required at check-in). We have hosted approximately 200 participants at each of the past few conferences and hope to continue with strong attendance from Federal, State, and local agency employees, lake owners/operators, consultants, product vendors, etc. We expect attendance to be very strong this year. The outing was great fun last year and we expect more of the same this year. Use the links on the right to get more information. Review the attached materials for registration information. IMPORTANT! To receive the conference rates as shown above, you must identify yourself with the conference when booking your room. You may do that in several ways: 1. If registering by phone (1-800-315-2621), mention the fact that you are attending the conference to the person making your reservation. 2. If registering at the Hotel's Home Page, provide the appropriate Group Booking Code: LWC for private or corporate attendees ($82 plus taxes; LWS for State of Virginia Employee attendees ($74 plus taxes and State ID credentials required when checking in). 3 Use one of the links below, as appropriate:
We encourage the submission of abstracts for consideration. Please review the attached materials for directions on conference registration procedures and submitting an abstract. Individuals are also encouraged to submit proposals for entire sessions. These should include three to five abstracts along with the contact information requested on the attached form for each presentation. Please contact me at sstein@gky.com if you have any questions. We look forward to building on our previous success and remaining the premier annual water conference in the mid-Atlantic. Once again, I’d like to express my gratitude to the Virginia Floodplain Management Association (VFMA) for their continued support of our conference. Come to the conference and learn more about our partners in VFMA. Thank you,
Stuart Stein |
