The Virginia Lakes and Watersheds Association is pleased to offer to awards programs to our membership and all of Virginia.

In memory of one of VLWAs founding members, Col. Leo Bourassa, VLWA has created the Leo Bourassa Scholarship Award.  The Scholarship is awarded to a Virginia student enrolled in course work that will benefit the water resources of Virginia.  See the link to the left for more information and the application.  2008 applications are due May 31, 2008.

In cooperation with the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation Division of Dam Safety and Floodplain Management, we have a Dam Safety Awards program.  Awards are given for the Best Maintained Dams in Virginia for various categories.
